creating product images

OK, so today what we do is we take the product (apparel) and put it on a mannequin, then we snap a pic, then we take photoshop and clean up the edges and take out the mannequin.
my question is:
is there software out there that would allow me to take the picture, run it through said software and have a cleaned up image, bonus if it makes thumbnails too, but not required

Well in photoshop you can run batch processes on a folder of images to resize them to thumbnail size

 

in photoshop you will both of things

 

If the pictures you take have the exact same setting, background, location, lighting, etc. You could record an action in photoshop.

Open the image in photoshop. Choose actions, record and then do the steps you want. When you are finished hit stop and save the action.

+1 on the batch process too. I think PS also has a web gallery function that will allow you to make thumbnails

 

the problem is its different each time, there are consistent back grounds, but shapes and items are different, 2 hats may look completely different.

also thanks for the tip on automating the thumbnails, got that going great...so that saves 5 minutes per pic.
