Creating New Account To Use As Vendor

It's OK to start a new CB account specifically to use as a vendor if you are a long time affiliate right? I've looked around for info on this and I can't seem to find it anywhere. I don't want my affiliate CB name to be associated with my CB product (it will be my first as a vendor) because it doesn't really make sense. I want it to be associated specifically with the product. (Plus I figure then I can be my own affiliate and drive up my gravity a little bit more.)

    Advice?

Yes, it is perfectly OK to create a new CB Publisher name for a new product.
In fact, the way it is setup, most people almost HAVE to create a new username for EACH product.

    I appreciate the help jj407 - that's what I figured.

I've seen a few publishers who seem to publish tons of different (very unrelated) products from one account but I find that very confusing as an affiliate. I Prefer the ones who have a different account for each product.

    ---

Another question - How hard is it to set up multiple products from one site. For example if you sell one product for $49.97 but then you have an upsell version of it for $69.97 ... Is it a real hassle to add the additional product (and is there an additional charge) ?

I suppose I will find out soon enough - I'm just trying to get a good idea of what I'm getting myself into. I've been a CB affiliate (with reasonable success) for about 3 years now - but this my first venture as a publisher.

There is no additional charge. Sell as many products as you wish from 1 single account... well once you register for a merchant's account you will understand better how the whole thing works.

When you publish a product, there is a number that goes into the ORDER link, usually it's #1. What you could do is add another product to the same account, it will be #2... But #2 will actually be the SUM of first and second products...

So let's say you are selling a book called "Love Tips" for 20$. When someone clicks on ORDER BUTTON, you direct them to a second page that has this crazy offer : "How to be great in bed" for only 10$ more and only with the purchase of the initial "Love Tips" - and once again you have a big ORDER NOW button. If someone clicks that button they will be directed to the actual CB payment page for a total payment of 30$ (this is your product #2, meaning both books together). If they do not want to buy the bonus, the page will have a link that will be similar to this "No thanks, I just want to buy "Love Tips" - by clicking on this the customer will get to a CB page asking him to pay only 20$... (this is your product #1)

I hope I didn't make it too complicated,

    Best of Luck,

    Alex

makes sense to manage the two separately - also it could stop one activity infuencing the other?

Of course you can open another account, it is even recommended. This way you can boost your own gravity.
