    Hi there,

    a few days ago i bought my own server and i have everything setup already but the nameservers...

    i'm using my godaddy's account to config this but i cannot do it... i added in the A records my server's ip and i also added the ns1 and ns2 records into the NS section too...

    each time i try to add NS1.MYDOMAIN.COM and NS2.MYDOMAIN.COM i recieve this message "nameservers not registered"... i did this a few days ago so i think they are already registered and propagated all over the web but seems there's something i'm missing...

    in the ns records i added just ns1 (where it says host) and (points to) mydomain.com. Also i added like ns1 and ns1.mydomain.com...

    the godaddy's record @ (host) is there, it was there since i created the domainame, should i delete it?

    i already read a lot of forums and blogs and tech forums about this but i don't find any solution...

    thanks!

    "i added in the A records my server's ip and i also added the ns1 and ns2 records into the NS section too..."

    If you use ns it automatically remove your A record and use ns instead of A record. Make sure you already set in your server dns templates that ns1 and ns2 or ns3 and so on point on your server ip. Boot your server ^^ try again..

    You can also create A records for ns1 and ns2 in your server. Just add following two records:

    ns1 A IP_ADDRESS
    ns2 A IP_ADDRESS

    And then try to register the nameservers in Godaddy control panel.

    Go to the domain registration control panel, find the functionality that says register nameserver or manage nameserver.

    and add ns1 -> DNS server ip 1
    ns2 -> DNS server ip 2

    ns n -> DNS server ip n
