I recently saw a site that has literally hundreds of landing pages - each targeted at one very specific keyword. Basically what you usually do for PPC, but doing it for organic traffic instead. Do others do this? Have you found that it works (even without many incoming links)?
Well it doesn't mater how many pages you have, if you have no links pint back to them..then they are useless. People do stuff like this, but its not the best way of doing..there are better ways to rank for all you r pages with do crap like that.
I have seen a service that generates "long tail" landing pages that are optimized for certain obscure search terms that are not very well targeted by the community. It basically goes through a database of search phrases and then generates crawlable pages optimized for each term. I have never tried this myself but I'm considering it.
