I want to be able to create images on the fly (I'm not a coder) on a website. I was wondering how powerful this can be; can you create text images using different fonts, colours and sizes?

Yes, it is easy to code using PHP's Exif and GD libraries. Asp.net also has such libraries to code such applications.

Let me outline what I'd like to achieve.

Take this fictinal scenario; I make a selection of logos for the client. Client runs a car garage and company is called "John's Automobiles". I send him to a page on my website that contain a list of logos with the text "John's Autombiles" next to them:

The client decides he'd prefer the text to say "John's Auto Repair" - now here's the thing, I'd like the client to be able to enter the correct text in a box, choose a font, choose a colour and then click a button. Then the text image would be made on the fly and the page would reload with the new choice of text.

Also, the user would come to a page like www.example.com/johns-automobiles - I want the script to create the text to go with the logo from the URL, in this case "Johns Automobiles" (replacing the dash for a space).

Who can do this? Do your forsee problems I should address?

Are the logos png files ? any image can be resized and placed on any other image, and any font can be used to write strings on images. And final image can be exported to any of PNG, JPEG, GIF, XPM, XBM(b/w for pirinting). I will use PHP and GD-wrapper that I wrote myself. Please price the work.

    regards
