Are you looking for a directory for all your individual posts?
So like you have 15 posts say 5 on a psp and 10 on xbox
you want 1 page with xbox and your 10 posts and 1 page with psp with your 5 posts on? Im using wordpress.com and you have to do it individually i think! Thats what im doing but if your looking to set a homepage then heres a tutorial -> http://tutorialwizard.wordpress.com/

Yes i think that's what i'm looking for i'll look into the link now many thanks.

what it is basically i want a frontpage for all my categories, because when i click a category name on my sidebar it sends me to an archive for the category?

EDIT: the link shows how to make custom homepage for the blog but i need a custom homepage for each category, but as said earlier when i click a category name on my sidebar it takes me to the "archive for xx category"

No, Right what it is is that i want a static page or dynamic whatever for the frontend of each category!

Because currently now when someone clicks a category it goes straight to the archive for that category?

OK what i'm going to do is assign a different theme for each different category..and then edit archive.php to my needs and use it as the frontend page for each category. can anybody see any problems with this or should i be going about it a different way?
