I want to create a mini information-based website that involves high paying keywords.

Will google be okay if I do this and put up a few adsense ads? Also, if I decide to advertise the website via Yahoo Advertiser network, and drive traffic via advertising, will it be okay?

Basically an OK plan but, with high-paying keywords, there will be a tremendous amount of competition for your site, meaning you'll have a hard time getting traffic and clicks.

You should at least consider going after less competitive keywords that pay less. Competition wouldn't be as great, giving you a better chance at good traffic. Even though each ad click would pay less, the increased traffic might just create higher overall revenue.
