Is there a way in Wordpress 2.7 to publish excerpts of the article rather than the full article. I don't want the entire article published on my homepage, just short excerpts that visitors can click on to read the full article. Is there a way to do this in Wordpress or is there a plugin? Well actually I know there's a plugin, but I "lost" it. If somebody knows the link I'd appreciate it. Thanks
There is a "more" button/ option in the post editor that will cut the article off where ever you insert it with a "Read more of this article" . No need for a plug in, it is already a part of word press.
Yeah that's what I thought, and I could find it in the previous version, but not in 2.7. I know it's there someplace, but I just can't find it Thanks
You can always just add <more> where you want the full post to stop? I think it could be manually done using that but I'm not sure what the correct tag is...
That's an option, but then I'd have to manually create a page for it. I was thinking of something that automatically makes the post an excerpt or something that lets you use a summary of the post as an excerpt. Thanks
