Creating Content-Rich Blogs for Backlinks?

Is it wise to use Blogger to create content rich blogs as backlinks to my site?

I realize wordpress may be wiser, but will Blogger do the trick?

I was thinking about adding optimized content on several blogs to create backlinks to my site.

Anything I should be aware of?

This is called a "link scheme" and is against Google Webmaster Guidelines. You cannot create websites or blogs merely to link back to another one of your websites. Will it work? Yes, could you be caught by Google; Yes. I suggest putting the rich content on your main site.
