I (like others) have a tool to create bookmarks. For this question - PLIGG bookmarks. I can create about 500 at a time. I am promoting a storefront site, by creating unique bookmarks for each item, for example: "Buy XXX at OUR COMPANY WEBSITE" is the title, the link is unique (to the product on the site) and the description is unique as well. If I then 'auto submit' all 500 PLIGG bookmarks within an hour or two and then follow up with another unique PLIGG bookmark submissions the next day, so possible 1000 bookmarks created in two days - is that a problem? Does Google frown upon that speed and quantity of submissions/bookmarks created? If so, why? It's a real site, with legit links, and the bookmarks are 'true' in that they are there for people who would want to 'buy' that particular product....any feedback, thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. I've heard from someone that this type of activity could be penalized, and that it should be 10-20 new bookmarks created each day. The problem with that is there are 1500 products on the site....so it would take a LOOOONGGGG time to created bookmarks for all....
Search engines will value spam links / links that can be got by automated means, lower than links on high PR websites that are obvioulsy harder to get.
