Should i be creating backlinks to one of my inner pages if i'm targeting a keyword in thats in those inner pages or should I just make backlinks with those keywords that are mostly related in my inner pages to link to my main page like example.com and not example.com/specific like if i'm talking about something specific in money making, should I make links to that specific post or just the main site?
Technically, you can do both. I would think that the more sites you have linking to your inner pages, the higher they will be ranked in the search engines - just a theory though.
You should build links to every page in your website, ideally. I don't give my homepage any more weight than my other deep pages. You build better site-wide PR that also builds your homepage PR as a result. You also get more landing pages for different affiliate marketing/CPC campaigns you want to try.
You should treat your inner pages the same way you would the homepage. If you have an inner page related to say "Nighthawks" then you will want to point links to that page with the correct anchor text, which in this case would be "Nighthawks". Sites that have good inbound relevant links on their inner pages will most often out rank sites that only have links pointing to the main page. If your main page is about "marketing" then it makes no sense to points links with the anchor text "Jewelry" to the homepage, it is a wasted link and should be pointing to the correct page. This is why sites like Wikipedia rank so well for almost any term you can think of, their inner page linking is far more superior than most sites.
hi, think of each page as a website in its own right so you should use the inner page. This way to get better results in the page itself and the use of a website description brings each page together to create an over-all theme that the se's use. Dave
If I have three outgoing links on the same page from one site to three different inner pages on another site, would they count as three separate backlinks? Would each one be crawled or would Google see the first link and skip the other two? I'm just wondering whether it is accepted that there is benefit in having multiple inner page links coming from the same page of a separate site. Thanks!
Of course they are counted separately. But after two or more links, from what webmasters have seen is that the effect of the link can sometimes diminish. Otherwise link farms would be more popular. You should really only be linking to things you have reason to. If you are writing an article and are allowed to put in two links at somewhere such as EzineArticles, I always give two different URLs. Otherwise you go against the Google policy of not making/marketing websites with intent to game the system.
YES! create backlinks for you inner pages and also, make sure you create some internal links bewteen your posts.
