Hi, just curious. I have understand that comments through blog may not helps in creating backlink if it has 'nofollow'. How about this forum? Is it able to create backlinks? Hope to hear from you guys...
Yep! you can create backlinks via forum sigs but nowadays SEs dont pay much weightage to these links.
Theres more weight to someone clicking the links as GP says rather than the SE's finding them.. but does help a small bit.. GP I seem to be following you around the forums all morn Im no stalker!

Dofollow links > forum signature links > nofollow links In general, forum sig links are followed but devalued by Google, while many (if not most) blog comment links are nofollow.
DP is one of the best place to get a backlink credit by Google. Although it's value is not clear, Google will still show it as a backlink.

I find that article marketing is a really good way to generate backlinks to your website. It is free and I have generated about a thousand links to one of my websites.
