Creating backlinks with Anchor tags???

    Can someone show me how to add an anchor tag to a backlink? I've been creating what I thought were backlinks (http://mysite.com) on dofollow sites for the last month but they aren't showing up on Alexa or anywhere. Where have I gone wrong. Thank you.

    This is how you do it with html :
    <a href="http://yoursite.com" title="Your Keyword">Your Keyword</a>
    Code (markup):
    And with BBcode (Forums and some sites allow this) :
    [URL[COLOR="Red"]x[/COLOR]=http://yoursite.com]Your Keyword[/URL]
    Code (markup):
    (exclude the 'x')

    Thank you sydzapp. Do you know if my previous attempts will count or is the way you just showed me the only way to create backlinks?

    The way i showed you will attach the keyword to the your link. So in this way, you're doing off-page SEO(linkbuilding) targeting that particular keyword and will rank for that keyword.

    If currently, till date you were just adding links without any anchor text, these links will not help you rank of r a specific keyword but will help increase your level of 'trust/authority' depending on where your links are placed and may ultimately help you gain PR depending on the PR of the pages where your backlink is placed.

    Do some research also about that keywords you want to use. If you use highly competative keywords, you won't see results for a while, or maybe never.
