Email me at "submit@gptguru.com" and I'll review your site for you. I just started about a month ago reviewing sites so there are only 4 reviews up so far. :D

Awesome! How is everyone? I'm Brian, I joined here recently as I began breaking through the barriers between online consumer and online entrepreneur. After lurking for a bit, I posted this hello topic:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=749839

That's my back story, the Very short version. As you can see, I'd consider myself fine in most senses, except I'm really having trouble with my personal finances due to my overall employability at this time in my life.

I'm passionate about computers, web design, 3D design... For years I've aspired to work on a computer, whatever the job which utilizes my skills. Video Game environment artist on a team using Autodesk products is the goal. However, my creativity, as you can imagine, takes a huge hit due to my lack of funds. So much so that I opted to entitle myself UnFunded :p

I was wondering if you could help me with some advice before I jump in. I have one shot at this, so I'm reaching out before I get into something that will take longer than thirty days to at least achieve the 20 dollars to start. That's the goal and question:

Will I sustain a $20.00 base shiftcode install if I have $40 dollars to my name, $10 of which will be for my domain name, and I suppose the other $10.00 would help somehow... This is a complicated question, I know, but perhaps if I ask it in a few here, it will help, as I'm sure you get enough of these to want some extra spice once in a while:

1: My startup budget is $40.00 (to my name :/) including costs of a .com domain at godaddy, meaning I now have $30.00 left.

Is shiftcode the choice for me? Bear in mind that I will be able to edit the template on my own and am unemployed with 16+ hours a day to dedicate to this, but only $40.00, I've got to flip it or lose. Poor man, but rich with Time.

Is there a learning curve to shiftcode if I've already gotten the gist of the back end of another site, greedleed, who's demo back end can be viewed here:

    http://greedlead.com/admin
    Username: demo
    Password:gldemo

The prices there are lower; but the hit is in quality, coming from a "free" member, and I'd like to give international offers, not just US, Canada. Leading to:

2: GreedLeed supplies advertisers, but they are US/CA only. Shiftcode Does Not supply offers, advertisers, etc, correct? What are THE top 3 AFF companies to start with for a GPT that is brand new, needs good securtiy dirt cheap (meaning, I can't upgrade etc so I need to start with a lot offers that do not require credit cards, I prefer not to use them since it's a risk I literally cannot afford to opt into some extra protection with)

How different is shiftcode from greedleed if what I know is CSS/HTML and already have an audience?

I don't intend to compete, so I personally have no use for adwords, but can I incorporate Adsense?

Can I run Adsense with other similar ad companies? For instance Yahoo and Adsense on the same page?

I'm just starting off here, so I'll cut it short and watch for what comes back before I continue. I read the first two pages, some of the 3rd, I'll read the rest and see what's been added when I get here. Cheers, and thank you all so much, I really like this forum and hope to be around for a while!

Also: With only $40.00 in my paypal, is GPT even for me? Is there something much better for my situation?

I thank anyone who emails/forwards/PMs this to someone who can help if this is not your area, thank you for reading!

Why not raise more funds first? Play around with some fast GPT and paid survey sites and start your site when you have a better budget. Don't start and not have enough money to pay your members. Play around with some GPTs yourself, raise some fast paypal money and then start your site - if that's your only option. $40 seems limited and i'd hate for you to fail your members. Build and bankroll first, and then build your GPT. THat's my best advice!
