Hi all, I am in the process of (trying) to set up a FB page/site/group or whatever on behalf of a association I am a member of... Firstly I tried creating a 'page'..obviously not the way forward, so I tried setting up a group via my home page...all was well until I realised that any new 'friends' be they existing or potential members of the association would have full access (as friends) to my own personal account. Blocking them would obviously block them from reaching the group attached to my account. So I have tried setting something up as a 'person' using the new account option...which, from what I can gather is against the rules? Can anyone advise me on the way forward? Many thanks
I can't see what the problem is with using a page. I administer a few pages = look up NZPIF and NHBMX The first is a non profit and the second a sports club. Pages work perfectly for both.
You can do both of the types of pages you like by selected at the very beginning, what type of Facebook page you would kike it to be. If you have already created it, you maybe need to start over and do another one.
Hi both, many thanks for the replies..sorry I couldnt responded sooner, the site would load for some reason.. I thought a 'page' would have been ok...but we also want members, and anyone applying to join would have direct access to my personal page as a friend'...which is ok for some, but I didnt want total strangers or spam merchants having access. Same situation with a group Maybe the solution will be to set up another account in my name and keep it clear..and run a group from there?
