Hello, Does anyone know what capabilities I would need to create an ad network, back end and front end portion. I am looking to create a flashed based ad network and am not sure what skills a programmer would need. I would like to create a network similar to companies that create the square ads on sites such as adinterax.
I was planning to do exactly that once, still have a nice domain for it.. However, I quit - Flash .swf files can not only contain awful sounds but also spawn javascript and are therefore a huge security risk, and it's near impossible to thoroughly scan the .swf files supplied by your clients so you can make sure they only contain the "allowed" features (no, you don't want to allow everything flash is capable of). Good luck if you still which to continue with that project, I'd be interested to hear back from you how you're going to resolve these issues.
