So I have the complete Adobe CS4 suite, and wish to create a website like the below.

    http://www.caherciveenparish.com/

Anyone have any good ideas on where to get started? Is it alot of work, and how much could I expect to pay to get it done.

    thanks

It's not that much, and I wouldn't expect most people to take money (now looks at recent posts).. or not?

Anyways, I'd do it for free, and besides that websites codes are all jumbled up and most are deprecated. As in, visit validator.w3.org/ and type in that address, look at all of them errors.

    Anyways let me know.

Of course you need to learn first photoshop then xhtml/css to slice it.

Creating a website like that isn't just something you can randomly say you want to do. You'll need to follow tutorials and learn starting from the bottom. Also, don't use this website as an example.. it's coding is mediocre.

But to answer your question, what I would do to design a site is first I would design it in Photoshop. Then I would slice it, which allows Photoshop to save each element in a separate image. Then I would go into Dreamweaver and start coding it without using tables, like the website you linked us to did. I can't explain much else.. you'll need to learn how to do each step.

Use the source code & images as reference and aim towards creating the same sort of images
