    Hi Guys,

I need some advice at the best way to approach creating a web server environment for windows 2003. I really want to put in place more of a linux platform, as it seems most of the open source scripts out there run and are built more for that platform.

I'm looking to install all the bells and whistles, apache, phpmyadmin, support php, asp, .net, etc..

I've been trying to use WAMP and my pages just keep crashing for some reason when I try to run scripts..

Question is can I run linux somehow within windows 2003?

I would use IIS, but I don't have physical access to the server and can't get the windows 2003 cd loaded into it to install it. Is there any way to do this without the cd?

It seems if you ask someone you shall receive. I now have IIS fully up and running on the server. I'm not too familiar with running windows as a web based server does anyone have any resources or links to guide that could be formidable?

As long as you can gain remote access to that server (RDP), you can setup/install IIS through add/remove programs (Add/Remove Windows Components).

Then if the i386 or AMD64 files have not been copied from the CD, you may need to reference it or you can ask someone to put the CD in and that will take care of things.
