creating a RSS feed and I need help on creating the code for the images

    I am creating a RSS feed and I need help on creating the code for the images the exp..url is I know I need to have echo '<g:image_link>xxx</g:image_link>';


    Here is one picture url that needs to be broke down


    http:\\www.xxxxxxxx.com/attachment.php?cmd=thumb&subcmd=itemphoto&id=bb513bb3a506acd23a80c&w=400&h=400


    but I can't figure out how to break the url down so the feed will pick up the images any body's help will be much appreciated


    I have used the code


    '<g:image_link>http://www.xxxxxx.com/attachment.php?cmd=thumb&subcmd=itemphoto&id=</g:image_link>';



    but it takes everything away you can't see nothing until you remove the code then everything comes back and no images
    kinda in a hole
