Creating a new .whatever

    I was talking with my family and websites were brought up. Someone said how would you create your own .com meaning .whatever so I had no idea so hopefully some of you guys know.

    It is not an easy process. You need to be an ICANN Member then bring up your case for your TLD and have them put it to a vote. The whole procedure can take years.

    also..addint to what eddy said...ICANN then decides whether to approve the TLD or not..

    no gaurantees..u can just file it..its upto them to approve..they are the authority.
