Creating a new site out of 2 old - Best Method for Optimization?

    I have two sites on a server that used to do well with traffic. One has been hit hard by Google and the other even harder as I received penalty 1 year ago for using TLA but have yet to get re-indexed.

    I am frustrated over the situation as both sites have lots of good content.

    I created a godaddy account, created a new domain and moved all the content from both sites to the new site.

    How do I deal with the 2 old sites? Park them? Point them to the new? Dynamite them and get a job at McDonalds?

    I would treat the new site as a fresh start, learn by your mistakes and not point the black listed sites to the new one, it will have no benefit at all.
