Creating a mobile version of my WP site?

    I'm looking to build a mobile version of my Wordpress site and was wondering if there's anything I need to know before I get started? Do I just create a new theme and download a "mobile detector" plugin? I want to use m.domainname.com like the other site I've seen. I'm new to mobile design so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    just use the Mobile detector Plugin. it will automatically set ur mobile site on m.domain.com

    You might need to provide it some permissions though.
