I just wanted to see what you guys think of my search form on the main part of my site here. http://www.plentyoftorrents.com

I don't really like having the google part of it because I think most people go there and think its just like the google homepage so why use my site. Where can I get a script that allows me the users of my site to search multiple torrent sites?

Also, can I use the google adsense search, to search my forum? Can it be integrated with phpbb2?

    Any help would be appreciated.

ps im planning to remove one of the youtube vids. Slow to load. :(

First of all I would check to see if Google TOS permit torrent sites.

Secondly, I would suggest SMF for forum intergration. Thier use of ISS is fantastic for intergrating forum stats into main pages.

    Good Luck!

good site and idea but using google custom search is not right.
+ as the guy before me said check to see if google TOS allowes torrent sites and/or search torrents sites. I'm pretty sure it doesen't!

You could use a custom search script, search around on google you'll find plenty. Then just index all torrent sites pages to your custom search script(may take long time, but its worthed)so it displayes the actual torrent files rather than pages.

Also another free tip: add something like new torrents on the main page.
Having only a custom search for torrents is not appealing and users can already search torrent sites from google or sites like torrentz, torrentspy, etc...
You could add this by taking rss feeds from some torrent site and showing them in a menu on front of your page!

For any help on SEO and how to monetize PM me or visit my site www.moneymaker99.blogspot.com. I accept payment only before optimization and after!

They do allow Torrent sites. As long as they don't link to direct downloads of ilegal content, or have porn ad.;)

You can get ubuntu off there, The Silent City 2006, coffee cup software.
which are all made free to the public by their creators and not ilegal to download anywhere. So if google was to ban my adsense account because of the possibility someone could search for illegal software they would have to ban themselves too. :p

Oh yeah cool. rss feeds would be an easy way to add some more content thats a good idea. ;)
Yup I've been working on finding indexing software so I could have a list of links on the front page with rating scores that the user is able to sort from most hits, most files, safe for work (no porn ads), best rated etc...

    Thanks for the feedback.
