    Easymemberpro is good.

aMember seems to be the most common and easy to use with all the features you want.. if you are smart you can get it free from some other forums out there.

I also recommend EasyMemberPro. For me, it's very easy to use compare to other membership site script.

Why not just use Joomla? It's open source and free and there are a ton of free components out there that you can use to do exactly what you need. Plus most of the site can be controlled from the backend so you really don't need to know much about programing or scripting to get started, however you may need to tweak things here and there in the code to get exactly what you want.

I know that there is a component you can add that lets you use paypal for paid memberships. You can also set up what content certain types of members can access (guest, free, or paid member) which I think is exactly what your looking for. This is done by a simple click of a button on the backend so it's super easy to administrate.

Go to http://www.joomla.org for info on it, I use it for the site in my sig. You'll need to be able to set up a mysql database and be able to install programs on your server to use it though. You'll also want to have shell access to have access to your php config file or else be able to have your hosting company change it for you.

Easy Member Pro (EMP) requires a Phone Home every time you login... Beware of this kind of software because when / if the software company goes out of business, your site is rendered useless.

I will recommend to use WordPress with wishlist/amember/magicmember. Easy to use interface for both admin and users.
