I personally have no problems whatsoever with a list of trusted members.

It allows me to save time(which i really don't have any to spare) and effort when checking on things.

If someone does not have you on their list, that does not mean that they don't trust you, it's that they probably have just not done business with you, so slow you roll(s) and don't get all uptight and offended, because you can't be on everyone's list.

Also, age has nothing to do with trust. I give for an example; terryuk: younger than most, but has earned a much higher level of trust (while not having ass hairs of 40+years old)

Could this be just yet another stepping stone 'for' the QBC's to overcome? imho: yes.

Oh, AnOn did you think I care the list?
I was just only joking... You know I like joking.
And of course age has nothing to trust level.
However as always age requires some personal respect.
You know all experiences, hard and good days, children or grand children...
    4 or 5 wifes. :D
Personally have only one (25 years) and still happy with this :D
And she's the one I trust (when she's at home :D)

anon..please go back and read both teamshop and my post. Neither of us said anything about age having anything to do with trust nor did we say who should trust who regardless of age.

what we did say regarding age....is that all these newly formed/forming groups, lists, clicks, or whatever the buzz word and flavor of the day happens to be...is very representative of school age kids..ie high school etc.

If you or any of the others read it any other way than that...you read it out of context.

    Kick them out ???

if u are just saying it ... than that pre-school and kindergarten was unnecessary

I think he was not meaning pre-school and kindergarten age related.
It's rather - experience, and not even in life, just in business, internet, websites etc...

Its not about groupism my friend--its about how to protect the industry from getting a real BAD name by some undesired elements.

Ideally --everyone should mind their own-business. But the problem is --people are using copyrighted products and if they violate those --they must not be trusted.
So if you are honestly running your directories --people will definitely trust you.

These type of list is very much required for the sake of big promoters like Jeff or Chris. As they--and some other big directory owners are the ones who give us (newcomers ) the initial support by providing free templates/buying links etc. So its very essential to have a reference list of good and established directory owners - so that we can safely decide where to submit our sites.

    Joke
If you guys are still in school - I am here -the Most Notorious Teacher in my place:D All the students are just -----of me and I am a good manner teacher (if you loose your manners):D

So all of you guys appoint me as teacher of the directory owners- so that I can teach mannerism to the naughty ones:p (Salary $5/m --per student)

smub - yes, I made my point. Whether you or anyone else understand or agress with my "point" is not my concern.

I have no problem with anyone here. Do I think some of the people here are immature..to put it in "your words"...Yes, I do. Ruining my business?...No...Not in the least...I'm not running a business here nor am I asking anyone here for any money or favors.

Kick them out??....never said anything related to kicking anyone out of anywhere. It's a public forum. Your here, I'm here..we all speak our mind...and at the end of the day..it's just that...nothing more than typed words on a public forum. :)

and I'll say it again..albeit you may not like it...lots of the stuff that goes on in here is very high schoolish. :)

Nobody took anything out of context; maybe you might have though.
I just gave my opinion that the list is a good idea, and will in-fact differentiate things even further between the ladder of the two types.
I simply stated that age does not matter, and threw in 40 year old ass hairs for a little pun and sarcasm. Don't get do defensive(well, unless your ass hairs mean that much to you hahaha)

nope! nothing taken out of context for me. I just don't play the follow the leader game in here like some. ;) now if you'll pardon me for the night...I'm going to retire to the easy chair as my 40 yr old ass hairs have had a long day and need some rest! I'll leave all the "list building" to the younger folks in here. I'm sure it's in good hands.:p

ok I'm back finally. It seems there were lots going on here...

I put those names while I was going through threads. It really is not in any order. It's just the first 15 or so I could easily come up with because they are well respected by many, so it was easy for me to name them frist. Does it make sense?

Please understand I simply copied and pasted as I went through "Directory Forum" threads. Obviously, I missed a lot because I was mostly picking active members, I guess. I went through about 10 pages of the forum by the way. I found those names, as thread owners or those who replied to the threads. But I got tired doing it after a while. So I though I would ask a help. After all, I want other people's opinions anyway.

Sorry that i missed you, and I know you got lots of cool mods. I was just going through the threads and picked names, according to their recent activities. Please don't take it personally. I hope you guys understand it. I will include you of course. ;)

I'm gonna update the list soon.

Yes, there is an intention for that too. I think !Ask! will do the job on the other side. I went through his posts, and they seem to be useful information.

The requirement shouldn't be too difficult as a matter of fact. If only 5 directory owners like you, you are in ;) (I am actually hoping this isn't way too easy factor.)

Just at least do good businesses with 5. It shouldn't be so difficult?

    61 owners

Names in red are the newly added members. I am glad that I got their names! I surely didn't want to miss them out.

I just realized that I only have few people I haven't done any business with at all before.

So here it is. I only need 5 folks to agree that those directory owners are trustworthy in the business. If 5 agree, then I will put the names on my web.

I also want to place links to their directories but someone like malcolm got so many directories, and I can't put all of the directory links on a single page. :D

I'm thinking I should put 2 links per owner. (without no follow tag of course ;))

The list will continue to grow as new members and missed ones are added on a regular basis. If you are not in the list, just shout and bring your 5 friends :D
