After selecting "Local Business" and choosing a page name, Facebook asks the page creator to choose "I already have a Facebook account" or "I do not have a Facebook account". What is the better way to create a Facebook business page? With my personal account or on it's own? Thanks
Hello Chris, Set it up using your personal account. I have free videos that you can watch showing you step-by-step, just click on the link in my signature. Regards Jo
Thanks for your replies. Can someone tell me why it's better to use my personal FB account to create a FB business page? Also, why not a business page with my personal account and one on it's own? I look forward to your feedback.
you will need to first create a Facebook Ad or Facebook Page. Once you’ve entered in the required information, the you create .
Chris, I'll explain it this way: No personal pages are allowed for business/bands/products, etc. When you have friends on your personal facebook page, you can then 'suggest' your business or fanpage to all of them which will build your traffic and 'LIKES' sooner, which will [after 25 people have Liked that page. see the button up top] give you the option of getting your own custom url such as http://www.facebook.com/BrielDi for a comedian's page. A customized url is very helpful to market your facebook page. The other reason to have a personal page is that it gives you access to manage multiple business/fan pages from that one personal account. Hope that helps. Gabriel
It's a easy way.. open facebook website and go exactly the below of sign up.. click on the create page you will get....
I would recommend creating a Fan Page for your business rather than a profile page. Facebook allows direct selling on Pages and not on Profile pages. Regards Chris
If you know fbml code then you can make business page and you can make design in the photoshop and slice it convert to html
Now, when you create a Fan page in Facebook, they let you choose between: Company, Charity, Public Figure or Local business.
Create a personal and a business account. Personal for family and friends contact. Business for strictly business. You don't want to merge the two even if you create a fan page.
Create a personal page first. This is where you gain access to all other pages. WHY? Because you can then create many different FAN or BUSINESS PAGES that you can access from the personal profile.
Chris, I had the same problem deciding how to use Facebook for my business. Though I have only appropriate things on my personal profile to begin with, I thought it would be nice to separate my business connections & whot not by having a profile solely for the business. However, as mentioned by the other posters, you cannot make a profile for a business. People can make pages for their business through their profiles. This makes it hard for me to have the separation that I'm looking for. I decided to suck it up & not mind if my potential clients see that I am a real person with a real life. The other profile I would make for myself just for the business would be a bit stale because I work with people online & not in person. If you are comfortable with your personal profile being seen by potential business connections, then I would just make a page through your profile. It is a better option than making yourself another personal Facebook profile. Best wishes, Crys Celine
