If you're just starting out and low on funds, is it best to do it yourself or spend what I got on the website (and market the website with sweat equity). If I create it myself, what's the best software/templates to use? Wordpress? Dreamweaver? Thanks
Honestly it depends on what your business is and how good you are at those things. If you have no idea what you are doing as far as content and web design goes, then please please please contract it out. Nothing turns people off more than a horrible website with big red letters screaming buy buy buy. If you have some skill and experience or are willing to put a little bit of time into learning proper content and writing and web editing, then by all means do it yourself. Wordpress is pretty easy and there are some nice templates. As far as software, all the programmers I know use Dreamweaver.
Having enough knowledge to this field is a huge plus and also if you dedication I bet you can't fathom to a long run. But I can sense that you are willing to spend time on this just as how I see on most people and like to earn in an online stuffs. By all means use Dreamweaver.
Pick a template from from word press according to your suitability and theme. Then customize your website according to your suitability.
Either you have time - to learn the skill and do the job - or money ... - research will take quite a bit of effort! I find people are happy to tell you what works for them and why. - By the way, I contacted the website out ...
