Create Your Own Directory

Hello, with all these directories popping up, I thought surely some people would like to create their own. Please take a look at www.phplinkdirectory.com. It is a free script and we are offering free support. I don't believe you will find a script available for free with as many features as this one.
    Thanks.

It looks alot like the biz-directory script, and it's not se friendly.

What I do like is the Confirmation Code with submissions, this keeps out the automatic generated submissions.

Last time I looked, it was SE friendly, at least it powers few SE friendly directories that I do regular submission to for me and my clients. Why do you think it is not?

Definitley, the links in the directory are se friendly, but not the category pages. This can easily by fixed with a rewrite_module. (I believe there is a mod_rewrite in the admin, but don't know for sure)

    The admin section looks great.

Is there an ip-ban option included in the script?

On the category pages there are unlimited links displayed, what I would like more is that there are like 10 or 11 links displayed on one page, more links will be in that category but then like category-more2, category-more3 and so on.

Overall it's looking great and the free support sounds good! :)

    dvduval,

The script is nice, but do mod_rewrite and make available for download.

This is done in version 2, and is now available. We have almost 200 installs since June 9th. Thanks for the advice. :)

I've been looking for a script like this, it looks nice. I didn't see this option at a glance, can you tell me if your script supports this idea?

I'd like to have the ability to write editorials about certain sites "editors picks" and have this extended information exist on it's own page along with other information about the site. How about allowing users to comment on sites? Possible?

    Hi Roze,

While this ability is not currently available, the script was written with the ability to customize in mind. We have several mods in the works right now. You can look at the Big Wish List here:
    http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=125
One thing that helps us to be able to keep adding requested mods (besides my own money) is through donations, so if like, go make a post in the support forums, and we will try to fullfill your wish. :)
