I need to reinstall vista on my c drive but i have important files and such and was wondering if I could create a new drive as storage to keep my files safe? And if so, how can I?
If you don't have any experience in creating a partition before, it is better for you to buy a USB flash drive or external hard drive to backup all your files. - Dynashox -
hi, it is esay to create a new partition, read this article, maybe give you a hand.---how to manage partition resize, http://www.extend-partition.com/help/how-to-resize-partition.html"]extend partition, it not only show you how to extend, create, move, delete and so on...
Firstly, backup all your data is the safest way. Secondly, choose a suitable software to repartition it according to your OS. I used partition magic several years ago, it's good. But it has ended of marketing, and doesn't support new OS. I introduced easeus Partition master, repartition and resizing features are both great. You can download the free edition from download websites.
acutally u could install vista over it and dnt worry abt losing ur data as long as u dnt format the drive.. but copying it out to a DVD or a flash driver is much safer
