Hey.. some of you guys might find this useful http://www.blogged.us.com you can setup a word press blog in under a min.. no ftp or msql.. this site will be heavily spiderd and have a very good PR next update. BTW.. its completely FREE Pete
Show me a site that isn't It seems an interesting service. If it's free how are you making your money to pay for it? Are users able to back up their own blogs or export? Any bandwidth limitations? Any diskspace limitations?
no limitations.. there are G ads on it. though I dont expect to get much from these etc.. its a spider bait site nothing more nothing less.. pete
Spider bait is probably better as a button or as one of the Ads by Google bars. The skyscraper is a bit overpowering. I've created http://guru.blogged.us.com/ (tongue firmly in cheek) and have added some links in there. They don't seem to be showing on the site. And I'd like the sidebar to show on every page but I can't edit sidebar.php to see what's gone wrong. I've also changed the timezone from the default +1 to +13 (we have daylight saving right now) but the time is still showing as the middle of the night. How do I fix that?
hi.. to change about me, go to the tab Users, Authors and Users update the info there etc. for more help go to the help forum @ http://www.cat-forum.info/chat/ pete
Just posted on my site. What the hell happened? From having a skyscraper that I'd commented on being too big it's now dominated by so many google ads that my blog is below the fold. What are you playing at?
I think this could be done with taste..... but the way it is now is just stupid. There are way too many ads on that page. In fact I think you are doing a disservice to yourself...... you won't get any click b/c people will take one look and just close the browser window.
ha ha ha ha! Just take a look at the demo blog http://test.blogged.us.com/ What a huge piece of crap!
Just as the bloggers need to know there is no such thing as a free lunch (hence some ads) the blog provider needs to know that there will be no free content on which to place those ads if the system is exploitive.
Why the hell are you still posting there? Write it on your own site... Geez - That ad positioning just takes the piss...
I thought I'd trial it since he'd posted on DP - to give an honest opinion (and he's an Aussie so almost a fellow countryman). I won't continue to add to it if it stays as is and these comments are on the public record. I don't actually need an extra blog. One guy on the inhouse forum talked about signing up for 100 blogs so I suspect he's going to get severely used for blog blasting.
Where? I already saw 3 ad blocks and an adlinks block too... He can't have any more than that - TOS...
