Hi, Is there a way for me to setup my own server and have a cpanel similar to that of hostgator..etc.. i just want something that will allow me to easily install drupal/joomla/wordpress..
Having never seen the HostMonster/Hostgator control panel, I'm not what you're talking about, but Softaculous, Fantastico, Installatron, etc., are scripts that allow you/users to easily install those things (and many others). It can also be done under Add-on Scripts in cPanel.
I know what you are talking about. It's called cPanel... just type in: cPanel on Google and I think you will have to buy the software. I'm not really sure.
Of course you can because hostmonster and hostgator do not have their own panel, they also use cPanel services which is the No.1 hosting panel providers.
Dennison your just making random posts as of earlier. OP Hostgator and Hostmonster do use Cpanel but they put their logo in it, In WHM go under Cpanel and click on branding
Thanks, cpanel was what I was referring to. Now does anyone know where I can find a version similar to cpanel that will support internal private addresses?
That is a custom version so you need access to the feature whether via a Reseller Account, a VPS, or dedicated server because you need to get into WHM to gain access to customize Cpanel look and feel using the Cpanel branding features. From WHM you can assign internal private addresses as well. http://whm.demo.cpanel.net/?post_login=17750771329471
cpanel for a dedicated server will run you about $30-35 a month, for a vps about $15-20 a month. That's about one of the few that will allow automatic installs of scripts.
