Actually you said "what a stupid question. who gives a shit?" Would you be ok with getting that as a response to all the questions you ask? The actual infraction was "attacking/harassing other members". Seems spot on to me.
haha! One day I wont come to DP after drinking alcohol. That may prevent the majority of my infractions. I guess I just love hanging around in the DP crew with guys like you If you check some of my posts in the directories forum, you'll notice how many good quality posts I make. I dont sit in the GC all day with the wackos As for the 6 pages of infractions.....i just manage them well. Only ever been banned once and that was ages ago. I try behave myself....but its pretty stupid sometimes. my last infractions were - the one i mentioned (so not needed), making a thread about my free template outside of freebies (perhaps if it wasnt full of social bookmarking crap i would have), and duplicate thread for announcing a competition winner, when its "duplicate" was a thread created months ago giving details of the competition and prizes. Totally different IMO. If DP supports the users (removing crap from freebies) then I will support DP by not posting my free template in templates forum. (even though loads do and get away with it ) Did I call the poster a name? Did I give abuse? I stated my opinion which was aimed at DP as a whole. When someone writes "great question" (their opinion) do they get infracted? So when i say its a stupid question (which was my opinion) I get in trouble...
Or make a separate section rather than banning them all, because most of the freebies are those threads, and then it would seem empty.
I am not clueless, I have worked on and owned forums before. I have seen it happen both when I reported things and when I received nonsense infraction. I have had three infractions on here since I have been here and been banned for a day. Of those, one infraction was one I deserved the other two and the ban were crap. Mods make mistakes too but here we are not allowed to discuss them. The ban I did question and got an apology for bad information but the infractions stood. As far as the stuff that slides, I have a good example if you want it either here or in PM. My point is that mods can see what a person's records are and should take that in account before just giving them out like candy. The members are what keeps a forum up and if you lose enough, you lose the forum.

Actually I will be needing some currency exchanges soon, so I will need to get some going before they are banned. I wouldn't be surprised though if there would be a civil war on here.
VCC exchanges and money exchanges are shady and most of the "I got scammed threads" are about them. Great idea to get rid of them.

Well, DP has a reputation of being a place with several scammers. I would say a huge chunk of that comes from that portion of it. I don't really think it is a bad idea really.
Yep, actually VCC selling helped many members bring food to their families. Rob, may I ask why you said no MSN account selling? I really haven't seen many of those selling.
Yeah you are....at least in terms of what goes on here. We do...."Mr. Clueless". Like you said, we make mistakes...you can PM us whenever you want. But don't try pitting one mod against another.
That is the thing, digitalpoint is the most active webmaster forum and when that is taken away from you, it is much harder to do good business.
