Sorry, but we had to bring our sales reps back in to work on the factory floor because we are now running 24x7 producing our "Let's Go Brandon" tinfoil hats. Can't keep them on the shelf. I do, however, want to give the NZ Pro-Mandate folks some hope, however. Our design engineers are working on a combination mask/tinfoil hat that will be perfect for them:
Just happened to see this news article and it looks like the NZ High Court agrees with anti-mandate crew: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/not-d...nations-suspended/LMAUM7LZWV6FFQWAKKJFLKYLIE/
Oh that's all bollocks. The very people who enforce (often unreasonable) laws don't want to be held accountable. The mandates are going anyway. Omicron is working its way through the country so "keeping people safe" isn't an issue. Nobody is. My daughter was at a family gathering at the weekend, talked to one man for a while. He tested positive today and was symptomatic yesterday. Avoiding selfish gits is impossible.
@sarahk Both my wife and I had omicron. It's a nasty bug but not as bad. My young daughter had it (we think) but her symptoms were super mild. The problem with omicron is some of the symptoms seem to stick around for awhile. Even after you start feeling better, the energy level remains low and you may feel congested (for about two - three weeks).
NZ's stats beg to differ - it's been as deadly as the first wave. We have the same population as South Carolina so I guess our horror of 5 deaths in one day shows we have barely started with the pandemic.
It's all tragic. No questions about that. But this too shall pass. Hopefully in our lifetime. @sarahk is it true that in NZ some creative people are building small islands and having parties on them to avoid being arrested or fined? Probably fake.
Yep, that happened in 2018. Our busy beaches have booze bans at busy times - and some at all times. I doubt it has happened more than once. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/kiwis...g-island-revealed/QNJBSIUS2GPP2CQJ4OGKKDKNVI/ On the flip side, we don't lock our parks at night or have metal detectors at schools.
