I was schocked to see my total cost in google adwords today. I tried to dig on the acct and found out that they charged me more than 5x my min CPC!!!

I wonder what was going on there. Anyone experienced the same thing???

Ok now as an update i got this reply from GOOGLE. And as i was reading this email, i began to think that it's useless putting the MAX CPC Amount. Read on and find out why i said this.

so wow!!! that means they can charge my CPC 10 times if they want to, and all they can say is: "IT'S BECAUSE OF THE QUALITY SCORE". Lolz, stealers, scammers. don't you think so

If the keyword has a poor quality score then you need "activate" it by paying £5 or whatever. Is this something you have done?

No. My current bid for the keyword was $0.20/CPC and they charged me $3.00/click for that keyword.

If that's the case and there are no other details (like you bid $3.00 then changed it $.20 not realizing that stats were delayed 3 hours and you had already accumulated $3 clicks) then they owe you a refund. The person who sent you the e-mail you quoted above appears to not understand what the issue is.

The e-mail they sent you talks all about minimum bids, not exceeding the max bid. Two completely different things.

Yea exactly. Funny part is, at the end of the email, they began to tell me how to improve my quality score! lolz, very far from my concern.

$3.00 for a $0.20 bid is criminal. They definatley owe you a refund, and a proper explanation

I don't think they will ever respond about this issue. they answered me me the first time with something not so related with the issue and talked about quality score, duhh!! They also don't have any explanation about the account where they asked me to deposit $xx.00 amt of money and never activated after i did. and it's been 2 weeks now, no replies from them.

can we see some screenshots or something?
seems very unlikely what you are saying
so you set the maximum bid to 0.20 and you paid 3 usd for that keyword?
this is quite impossible...never heard or seen before

I've never had this big a problem myself, the worst that mine has gone over my daily cap was 150%, which wasn't that big a deal because my cap $1.00. But they should DEFINITELY be giving you a refund for this. Just make sure you let them know that you aren't happy with how they are handling this situation.
