We have the 30k challenge, insane traffic challenge, millionaire challenge -

I am just wondering if all of these will actually work!

It would be interesting to see the results :)

Has anyone started on other challenges??

    How about a SEO CHALLENGE?

    Blog Challenge?
    Million Hits Challenge?

    Anyone got any ideas? LOL

    :)

It's alll a big marketing play to generate hype. The first person to do this had a good idea that worked. The other bandwagon-jumpers are devoid of their own ideas. It's pretty much a replication of the whole million dollar pixel idea all over again ;)

Yes -- these millionaire challenges are interesting to say the least, but the interest soon dies down.

Unfortunately the marketing game is very competitive. People are always eager for new things.

Not really in line with the internet marketing challenge trend, but in the professional writers network I set up, 6 of us are breaking off seperately and running a 6 figure challenge next year, aiming for each of us to earn at least 100K just from our writing (some of us part time in addition to our FT businesses and/or jobs, and some writing full time - just to see if both can be done).

While there's obviously income involved, it's not as much about hype to drive traffic as it's a way for us to try to serve as guides for lesser-paid writers, by letting them in on what we're doing, how we're doing it, and how to improve their own incomes, whether we all reach that goal or not. I'm going to be setting up the blog for it this week, and it starts officially in January, so I'm sure we'll share plenty more about it here.

btw... all of the writers participating are from DP :)

The first person to rent his forehead/chest/<enter any body part here> was a good idea, you still see people renting their baby's diaper as ad space, thats just lame...

I don't mind that so much, at leat it's adding a new twist. I saw quite an enterprising idea where some students were selling tiles on the side of a house in Amsterdam.
What annoys me is when people take the exact same idea an expact to be successful without understanding that it was the originality of the concept that made it successful.
