sorry for bumping this thread as I feel it would be good here As all you see here is the editor window as you can see there is another delete button at the end of the row That is the spam button clicking on it wil you take it to an another page like this clicking on the submit button will take you to my directory and the spam site will be submitted into my database and this database can ber used by all directory owners to ban those spam sites

Rob C: just remember though, this is a phase I start. it takes care of the basic spam. not all types. there are some extremely difficult to deal with types of spam out there. this just handles what i saw was most plaguing atm xxxxxxxx: it seemed to work xxxxxxxx: didn't show up in the admin xxxxxxxx: thanks and I just check the submissions for the remainder of the day and today and zero entries made it, so I know what I made and have works for it's type.
Is there anyone tried my hack ? It is very simple, just adding 1 single line in submit.php to reset the captcha. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=1960213&postcount=23 If you do, please let me know the result.
Hi An0n, Thanks for your response. I just want to test the theory I have. When I looked at submit.php (I'm cheking phpld2 in this regards), there's a different treatment between free and paid submission. On free submission, after a user submit their link, the script reset the captcha session before showing the submission form again. But on paid submission, after a user submit their link, the script do not reset the captcha session. So a spammer might take advantage of this hole, for their next 100 submission by using the last captcha session.
I am working on the spam entires I am trying to create a tool that will delete spam entries from the database which had be contributed by other members
I am having a tool at phpld which will redirect spam entries to another database at www.directoryspam.com and If each owner send spam to this database we can make it as free SQL dump download for phpld owners who can prevent the spam entries and delete as there are spam entries already in the database
I'm getting the same type of spam in Wordpress. I think I will add "End ^) See you" to my spam filter.
