    i crashed my forum by purging the cache. now i got an error "code corrupted, insert a fresh copy"any thoughts on how to fix?if i wanna start over then how do i save the profiles and posts if i cant access the user control pannel?

    Hi

    If you have your own hosting then you can take a backup of your forum by taking a copy of the mysql database. So simply upload the new files and add the mysql backup and you are up and running.

    I agree with mywiippy, it is very important for every forum owner to take backups. Since I have went to a dedicated server, my host provides daily backups for free but I still backup every time I update just in case AND I run a cron job to backup every hour as well. BACKUPS are a MUST!!!
