Crap being sold in Buy, Sell or Trade

Hi,

I'm starting to get really annoyed about the amount of crap which scammers (majority of them only around 100 posts) are trying to sell (some illegally).

Can anything be done about this? Do moderators have a mandate to control it? Is it allowed or ethical for me (or anyone) to post in these threads stating the cons of what is being sold?

We try to control things the best we can w/ the rules that are in place.

Don't forget to use this:

 

If you feel that someone is not following rules or posting/selling illegal stuff you can report it and mods can take care of it.

 

I use to take a look at that forum every now and then, now its none. Its got way too many threads with something minor small thats copyrighted/illegal not theres etc.

Don't feel like taking the time to prove its not allowed.

 

Yeah it's true ... there is so much of it that you could spend all day using the button, but that's not what I am here for ... When I look in Buy,Sell or Trade I only want to see decent stuff....I guess that's just too much to hope for....

Maybe a seperate BST section could be created that only allows users with a certain level or reputation can post to?

As Rob said, we do the best we can. If you don't think a post is appropriate, report it. That's all you can do.

And no... it's not allowed to post in a sales thread to make accusations about the product or seller, and if you do it and we see it, you'll get an infraction for thread hijacking. Use the report function. That's what it's there for.
