Craigslist phone verification for posting in ALL service categories now?

Why don't you guys just verify your phone number?

 

They want a lot of accounts, so they can do large amount of post. craigslist is the only classified that converts so well.

 

Because they want to spam CL with lots of ads

 

DSL only gives you a new ip when the connection is reset

I don't agree with you. There is no way to escape phone verification. There is no loop hole in CL system in this regard.

 

How does this phone verification works ? Do they call you to ask for your ID ?

 

Phone verification is required only once when you sign up for an account on CL.
Once phone verification is done you can subsequently post ads with that CL account as usual.

 

Actually DSL can be static too.

 

So what it is better to have the phone verification.

 

I've noticed a huge drop in posts here in Tucson and Phoenix. I don't see how this automated software programs will find a work around this. They also are catching you by your ISP address even with different accounts and different phone numbers.

Yeah the verification isn't a big problem. Move to other sections or if you really need them, make sure you post quality ads and just get the verified accounts.

 

Craigslist is still a huge asset to advertise on. We now just have to take extra steps to promote in the services section. It will unfortunately cost a little more, but if you are providing a good service or product you should still profit.

I was able to get some craigslist verified accounts by using phone numbers on jconnect.com (free phone numbers) however my ad kept getting flagged, and I lost the account, it was put on hold.

Does anyone have a site to find online phone numbers, so that you can verify a craigslist account? WIth jconnect, you have to try about 10 numbers before one works, so it's very time consuming.
