It all depends on what you're putting on craigslist. Most the time craigslist is not a place people will go to click around on links, and craigslist itself will quickly delete any postings with links in them.

Craigslist is more a place for specific products and items people are searching for...

If you went to craigslist would you go there to click links?

Affiliate marketing, dropshipping, and the right kind of ads are what makes success on craigslist.

I use Craig's List to sell the stuff from my website. I pick a specific item that I want to put up & describe the item.
Then link them to the description page & also to my home page. I have had a some results.

Craigslist IS a goldmine for smart people!

I do use Craigslist and have made over $200
    from them so far.

There is really no secret to it. Just use them
a lot and learn from your action.

After a month. you will start to see cash coming
in if you keepo at it.

I haven't had much success from craigslist. After hearing about all the hoops you have to jump through, I think I'll leave it at that.

There are no secrets to being successful on craigslist.

Just follow the rules, have good ads, a good site, a good product people want, and give it time.

That's what the successful ones do.

I have compiled some basic tips on my website. Feel free to check this and also this one.

Those are very basic tips for the beginners. Now posting on CL is much more tougher and the filter list varies widely category to category and time to time. I think CL doesn't enforce all the filters at a time. May be due to limitation of capacity of their servers or intentionally, so that none can guess those filters accurately.

    Following are few more tips:
    1. Don't put hyperlink unless you are posting under the services categories
    2. Upload the photos in the categories where uploading option is available. Don't use external images in such categories like "for sale" categories.
    3. Do some test postings and try to find out the blacklisted keywords which varies category to category and avoid those in titles and descriptions.

Craigslist is an excellent place to market. Be smart and creative. The overposters that say 1000 times: buy my widget are the ones who get ghosted and blocked.

If you are creative and post for a legit looking job in the jobs category, then forward the people who reply to your affiliate jobs page, that's being creative and you'll make a lot of money... jsut one idea.

    PM for more info.

I have used it in the past and had good results but it seems it is getting much harder to keep your listing up. It just takes too much time and keeping them to stick or even get posted and not ghost posted.

You can do well on Craigslist but you just need to try a few things and keep going until you find something that works for you. Free classifieds and free traffic, you can't go wrong.

I'm done with CL as a marketing tool, so I'll tell you how I did well with it. I posted max 3 ads a day in the top US cities per CL account. Use a well written ad, upload pics. I never put in any links. Instead I set up an autoresponder on the email account used for the CL acct. My autoresponse email would either be a nice html email linked to site I was pushing, or some good text along with a couple pictures. I used this method promoting dating/cam sites and have done very very well.

you have to be careful when advertising on craigslist because alot of people will just flag your post and it will get deleted. Also if you post too much you account will get banned
