Craigslist Flagging System - Can't flag off even trough proxy?

    Hi there,

today coded a little script in PHP wich will cycle to a list of proxy servers to flag off an ad on craigslist. As far as I understood to flag an ad as whatever you'll need a certain amount of clicks from different ips. The script uses about 150 proxies via cURLS passes on referer and stuff like useragent etc. but the ad just won't disappear.

The links to flag a ad look like this:

    http://$city.craigslist.com.tr/flag/?flagCode=28&postingID=$ad_id

Maybe someone could point out if there's something I missed? Or did craigslist's flagging-system change and theres nothing about that on the net?
I think something must have changed as sites as craigslistflagger etc. also stopped working ...
    Any advice is highly appreciated!
    thanks and best regards, max

I'm bewildered on why you would want to auto-flag craigslist ads. I understand what you're doing, but why would be my question. By automating something like that it deducts from craigslist itself and makes it less useful. I could see how YOU could benefit, you could simply knock off your competitors ads, but nobody else benefits.

Plus, things like that are against CL's TOS.

It's for a simple reason: I made a short term rental for a flat via craigslist and the guy still owes me my deposit (its been 2 months now), and I know I'll never get it back. I started to post daily warnings on craigslist (as he is still posting his flats) but most times he's flagging me off. This not about competiton ... and actually I think other ppl would would benefit if his postings don't show up anymore because hopefully there are more honest landlords than him around ;)
