Craigslist Flagging my Money Making Site

I am just wondering.. how can you use craigslist to promote a money making website? I have tried posting in all sections, but my ads keep getting flagged down. I don't believe I am breaking any rls. I think people just see "Money Mak..." and that's all that registers before they click flag lol.

I thought about posting in the jobs section, but that's too dodgy. Plus, I feel bad when people are really looking for a job and they have to put up with clowns trying to promote their stuff. So I don't take that route.

I posted in the community section, and offered membership at absolutely no cost (for real), and my ad still got flagged. But Surely there's got to be a legitimate way to offer people membership to a website?

It's not just craigslist either. I am also posting on an Australian website called Gumtree. My posts aren't getting flagged there - it's just in craigslist.

Anyway, I'd really like some input on what other people might be doing to create awareness about their brand.

The problem with Craigslist is the "Moderators" are everyone, especially your competitors. I have found that setting up a simple auto-response using gmail and their vacation setting works, but people on craigslist like to flag posts no matter what.

Also, your competitors are probably flagging your posts as well.

I would wait a few days even a week then try again with a new account and maybe some new headlines

That's a good idea. I never thought about using an auto responder with craigslist.

Your ads are less likely to get flagged if you post them in the Resume section.

I don't know if it's true or not, but it seems like if after so many of your ads get flagged manually all other ads get flagged automatically. So, if you have 50 ads posted from the same account and 10 of them got flagged all other ads will be goners too.

It's better to have 10 accounts with 5 ads in each one of them, than 1 account with 50 ads in it. Still, there's no guarantee that sooner or later all of those ads will get flagged, it will just take a whole lot longer for it to happen.

You have to be carefuly on Craigslist. They frown on the moneymaking opps in general. They don't even allow many ads for seeking investment unless you're selling a business outright.

Successfully posting on craigslist really has become a science over the last few years. I've run plenty of campaigns on there and it's really starting to not be worth the effort anymore considering all of the work. Here are some things that you need to consider now when creating accounts and posting:
-Are your accounts created with unique ips/phone numbers?
-Do your unique ips match the area code that you are trying to post in?
-Is all of your ad text unique?
-Are you using images as your complete post?

The craigslist market seems to have gotten so complex that you will have to consider posting locations to prevent your ads from getting ghosted or flagged. I am not saying that it is impossible, however I do want to stress how expensive all of this can get. If you do still want to continue with craigslist then I would recommend that you start investing into some private proxies and a good e-mail autoresponder. Keep any links out of your ads and do not pitch your product until the second e-mail reply or later. Craigslist is a great source of traffic but it has a lot of triggers that can ruin all of your work.

Feel free to pm me if you have any more questions
