    No it's not?

Encouraging clicks In order to ensure a good experience for users and advertisers, publishers may not request that users click the ads on their sites or rely on deceptive implementation methods to obtain clicks. Publishers participating in the AdSense program:
    • May not encourage users to click the Google ads by using phrases such as "click the ads," "support us," "visit these links," or other similar language
    • May not direct user attention to the ads via arrows or other graphical gimmicks
    • May not place misleading images alongside individual ads
    • May not promote sites displaying ads through unsolicited mass emails or unwanted advertisements on third-party websites
    • May not compensate users for viewing ads or performing searches, or promise compensation to a third party for such behavior
    • May not place misleading labels above Google ad units - for instance, ads may be labeled "Sponsored Links" but not "Favorite Sites"

I never said referal traffic was against TOS.

    I said:

Google can check the referral traffic.

If it sees a large amount coming from a certain 3rd party advertising site they can at their discretion invoke their rights.

MFAs are what they are and being as Adsense is the judge jury & executioner it's best to let it go and find something else to promote via craigslist that pays better.

Think - online dating referrals ;->

Well, duh... Or you may bomb click a competitor and tell G that he asked you to do so...Anything online is very fragile...very fragile...

Also, if you advertise a site with adsense on it - I don't mean putting your adsense on CL, I mean putting the URL of a site with adsense on the site - the site will be banned from Google and CL...

Click bombing does not work. It's been proven.

No, that is not true at all.

If you build a site to display ads, and earn a large percentage of your revenues from it, and then place ads on a third party site where they are not wanted to drive traffic to your made for ads website, you could be banned.

I post ads for websites which happen to have some adsense ads displayed on them on, using craigslist and others and have done so for years with no problems.

Also as a side note nobody can post Adsense Ads on craigslist as it does not work...I tried a few times and wrote Adsense about it lol :D

They thanked me and told me not to do it again ever so nicely...

Interesting. If what you say is true, this thread is just a big lie.
    I bomb click eforeclosureguide.com and I got them...it's gone...
I was massively advertising a site with adsense, 2 weeks was needed to get the url not working on CL anymore + it's gone from Google...It had 140 links on G before...
If it's not because what I did, it will be interesting for me to know so I can keep going what I did without the mistake. When I was promoting the site, it did $800/month only adsense...

arbitrage traffic to mfa sites wasn't against the tos, but some big players got banned for it.

bottom line, if it doesn't convert for the advertiser, your adsense account could be at risk.

So you may be banned for doing stuff that are not against the ToS? Specially if I'm a big player?

the big players will obviously get more attention from google... who's doing the most harm to the advertisers?

with craigslist traffic, you aren't even spending adwords money... there is little reason for google to give craigslist spammers a break.

Well, other than the fact that you are spamming the heck out of Craigslist and ruining their product/reputation and user experience?

I am glad they banned you. What you were doing was spamming all your crap on craigslist. I know your game. I hope google continues to ban a-holes such as yourself. Your nothing but a spammer and nothing more. Good riddance.

Craiglist must have seen the pattern and reported your IP to the Adsense team, who matched it with your login IP.

    Peace,

Google should not banned anyone for using craigslist. If they want so, they should at least warn first time to the publishers.
