Craigslist ads not appearing?

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by Little Honey, Sep 30, 2007.

I'm trying to post an ad on craigslist, but even though it says my ad is published and I can go to my ad directly, it does not actually appear on the listings, so it seems no one else can see it.

Any idea why this could be happening?

Click on the ad that they emailed you and make sure you went through the approval/publishing process far enough. That happened to me once, maybe this what is happening to you.

    Just a thought.

1.Create an account! That works better for some reason.
2.Don't use the same url in an ad more than once in 5 days.
3.Use only high level domains Craigslist bans >info accounts for some reason.

Quoted from the ebook: Craigslist Marketer Pro Which i have resell rights to if you would like an indepth way to market your products without all these hassles. It comes with a video showing step by step how to accomplish this.

    Pm me if interested $7.00

Try clearing your cookies and then post again using a different headline and slightly different ad body.

Craigslist is a strange animal. Some times I guess you realy do get what you pay for, though this is not ALWAYS true.

May be it has its own mind eating up all the ads when its hungry.

You can guys can try my site also. http://www.webcosmo.com for posting free classified ads. Its not that big like craigslist but it wont eat up your ads. But I believe you will like the features this site offers. After all its all free for posting anywhere any locations.

This is typical for craigslist nowadays. In fact I find this happens to most of my ads. Their anti-spam algorithm is pretty brutal.

If your posting the same ads over and over use a different account everytime and always make sure your ip address is changed. If your using a posting tool, CL might detect that ads are posting too fast and not post all of them or none of them. I could be wrong but it has happened to me and I just make sure my IP address is different all the time and it seems to work after that.

Have you asked CL why they are dissapearing? You could post in the forums asking what happened. They'll probably tell you. However, as the above poster stated, it could be the volume of posts your placing.

I think they changed their rules 3 months back...like ad posting from non US residents wont appear anymore in US cities.. but works in other countries or cities...
