Craigslist Ad Question?

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by digitalmoney, Jan 14, 2008.

    Hello,

I am just now getting into craigslist marketing... (I know, I'm a bit late)...

Anyways, I posted an ad yesterday and got approx 80 email responses off it. I was very excited and decided to do it again today...

    NOT 1 RESPONSE :-(

I was wondering why, so I went in and realized my ads haven't even showed up on the site.

How long does this usually take?

Or is it possible that I am banned?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

I don't care too much for Newmark's service.

He doesn't help out his visitors, it is too easy to get banned, and it is just a mess over there.

Over a year ago I had a couple of problems I needed his help on. Instead of addressing them, he instead posted, asking his other visitors to help me.

It's HIS site, HE takes care of that!

Maybe he has since changed all of this. I don't know. I haven't been there since.

    Here's the thing...

Even if my IP is banned, I am posting from a different IP by using several different proxy sites.

So why are my ads still not showing up... Anyone?

I have asked others about this in the past, and they don't know either.

    This is common.

I don't know why so many go there.

Then again, maybe you aren't telling us everything, and you were indeed spamming???

Can you show us your ad???

If you try posting more than one AD to quickly they will disappear. Also putting your link in the ADs to often will cause it to disappear as well at least from what I have seen. If you are trying to post the same AD you have to wait 48 hours between postings.

One thing that seems to work is simply using a couple of different emails.

Don't try to spam Craigslist with too many ads in the day & do not post twice in the same city in the gap of 24 hours, change IP's after every 10 ads & you will have less ads ghosted :)
These are some of my tips.

No URL, no link, no x-rated photo, new email for CL as I never posted before

And the ad did not show up

    Hi Jiffy
The kijiji clautoposter and EZgumtree pages all have the same layout and addon prices
    is this the same software.
I have tried gumtree demo and it looks good, with all the craigslist protection
is there any point to buying autopost software. I want to post about 10 ads a day in a few cities, not spam them?
    kind regards
