I used to market my sites on Craigslist. Recently none of my ads show.

I post and it says the same as before "Thanks for posting...."

But none of my ads actually appear on the list. I have not got a email that says I'm Banned.

So whats the deal? Has This happened to anyone else?

And where can I market my site for free.

I use Craigslist to generate $500 a week sometimes and the key is to target areas with medium traffic.

If you keep trying to "spam" the website, then your ad will not show. It is a great place to market but you have to know what you are doing.

The USA section of craigslist gets lots of traffic.

So let me give you an example on how to market with Craigslist.

Say you are a consultant in search engine marketing and you are selling your service.

I would target one country where you can arrange a skype or msn conference.

So lets say you want everyone from New York to use your service.

I would put an ad that says..

"Want To Increase Your Search Engine Rankings?"

I can get you on Google within a MONTH if you follow my instructions. I will mentor you and coach you and talk to you for 1 hour over the phone.

If you are interested please get in touch with me at [[EMAIL ADDRESS]] or you can visit my website [[URL LINK]] for further information.

Prices are between $500-$600 for the first 10 customers.

Now the example I gave you above - will get you lots of enquiries. I had anywhere from 30-50 in just a day when I did something similar.

craigslist is awesome, i dont post a lot of ads i attack it from a different direction. i search for my customers, for example i do graphic design so i would search for "need a logo" and then respond to the ads i find.

I have found a great tool for this, does anyone know of crazedlist...its a site that searches all of craigs list with one search....sorry cant remember the exact url

I have been playing with craigslist myself lately and I did notice immediate traffic which is good.

I did notice some of my post got banned/deleted but wasn't sure why, since my url was a regular domain.

My very first two sales came from craiglist advertising.
I was just fooling around and I made about 60 bucks.

    it was pretty amazing.

There is no best way to utilize craiglist. There is no best way to make money, you usually have to find your best method and see what works for you.

Some general advice I can give you though, is if your website is about cars, you don't want to post in the pets area.

But also be creative. You can scroll down the wanted ads, and see if people have a need or desire for what you have to offer.

I've also just started playing around with Craigslist but had a couple of my ads "flagged" and didn't really understand why.

A lot of people forget about www.backpage.com it's not near as big as CL but it's still a great ad site.

I think being successful with Caiglist or not depends on what your niche.
It's performing nice for some niches and not performing at all for others.

I heard CL has been having problems with postings for the last week. Try posting using an account instead of the using the email validation.
