We are also using craigslist in promoting our site. Craigslist is one the classified ads that will boost traffic for the site. But
they are too strict in posting the classified ads and they dont
like spamming. If you post your ads and its duplicated, they
deleted it but I still try posting new ads that is not duplicate from the others.

CL is a good place to advertise your services. I know that because I've done it many time. However when it comes to advertising your website it simply does not work.

What I am looking for is weaving my site, maybe through related articles, into a conversation outside of the classifieds on Craigslist.

Generous offer, but I read your book. I don't buy books, then return them after reading them.

Fair enough. But we'll consider that I 'owe you one', okay? :)

Yes, yes, I'm here!! Thanks for the vote of confidence, Jim. As much as I would LOVE to be active on the forum all day, lol, if I'm working on something else I find I get automatically logged off pretty quickly and so I didn't get a notification of new pm's received. I don't suppose anyone knows how I can remain logged in longer, do you...?

Must be a problem with the site, I'm looking into it. Now I've sent a pm to netjobs and he/she isn't responding to ME. :D Maybe it's the same problem, but I'm sure we'll meet up here soon!

Yeah Diaz, I'm interested in the report as well. I'm trying to build up my community site and I think CL would be helpful.

smallbizstartupkit, I think you can safely order now, I checked out the site and it appears to be working okay. And it turns out I didn't actually receive a payment from netjobs, so I won't be sure what the problem was there until I hear from him.

And just to be clear, this ebook is meant to be a good overview of getting started with marketing through CL if you've never done it before, and gives examples of how to word your ads for different goals (attracting traffic for Adsense sites, affiliate sites, etc.). If you need help with the intricacies of how to post and how to use CL for selling your services (SEO, etc.) then you want the Craigslist Profits book Jim mentioned earlier in this thread. But I'm happy to provide help with any questions you might have after reading this, just pm me. I'll try to remain logged onto the forum. :)

    Good guidelines, djazz.

If you want the more detailed book, Craiglist Profits, I have it at http://www.twopercentclub.com/index.php?page=craigslist, but it is $49.00. I also offer a couple of bonuses with it...........

Be careful when spamming on craigs, I have heard they have a special unit there that goes after spammers

Jim, Are ads for free items allowed on craigs list? eBooks? Plant materials? Basically three different products, three different ads...and even three different IP addresses if needed (DirectPC Satellite, backup dial-up with AT&T and Verizon wireless on laptop with PCI card), would this seem pretty safe to prevent banning?

I have been considering purchasing the craigs list profits eBook, but I really know nothing about the list at all. Will the methods in the eBook work for physical products that one owns, and not just affiliate products or services? I wouldn't want to spam the list, but I have given thought to posting weekly ads.

... and you are promoting MFA sites that you plan on selling soon, but you don't see us giving you any red for your contribution to internet pollution.
