Craiglist???

    Hi,

I heard about craiglist a lot but I doubt whether this would be beneficial for any site. Coz I have seen it’s very easy to submit there. And then the submitters get a mail from craiglist mentioning whether submitter would like to publish, edit or delete the listing. So, there is great chance of listing bad sites. And also I have seen that craiglist pages are crawled by the SEs on a regular basis. So, you can presume that there is always a danger for your site, if listed.

    Let me know your thoughts.

You will get banned fast- blocked by CL and reported to spam busters. Your site will be de-indexed and you may even get a few flaming cocktails thrown at your house or car. CL users are onto spam and you wont last a nanosecond. Myspace style marketing doesnt work on CL at all.

I have and still use Craiglists for marketing. They are very strict with spammers. You just have to be creative in how you do it.

There is a very good eBook out right now about how to market on Craigslist called "Craigslist Profits". It is $49...just raised from $29...and has excellent info on how to "step lightly" but make good money using Craigslist to market. (If someone actually raised the price of an eBook rather than using the "threat" of a raise to get you to buy it, it has to have some good stuff.) I am almost finished reading it, and it makes a helluva lot of sense to me...and, I am usually VERY skeptical of these things. The only problem will be if too many people start following the advice in this book....which they will...but for now it is still "fresh territory".

This is my affiliate link to the book, but you can go around my link if you want...just to show you I'm not just promoting it to make money. It's nice to make the commission, but you can also bypass me.

I've read it already and it's a pretty
decent report. I also use another way
to make money using craiglist but it
    takes some work.

Craigslist is an excellent place to market. Sites which are flagged down are usually spam or miscategorized.

I've used CL in the past to promote my sites and affiliate sites.
It's like the #7 most visited site in the world! Why wouldn't you try
to learn to use this free source of advertising?

CL is a great test place for new products or offerings. Just post your
offer with no links. Allow them to email you. Then you will know what
    to tweak.

Hi guys, would you say that Craigslist was a good place to meet other like minded network marketers or is it not really aimed at any specific group of people.

    Cheers:)

"alexanderthegreat", CL isn't a good place at all to meet other marketers, it's more like the 'anti-marketer'. On the other hand, if you observe the rules and don't give the appearance of spamming, they can be quite tolerant. They're not against someone using CL to make money, you just have to do it the *right* way.

I also bought Craigslist Profits, it was very good and I used it to make some money on CL. It's geared toward people selling their services on CL, everything from SEO, link building, to just about anything you can think of.

Um, there's another book about marketing on Craigslist called "Craigslist Traffic" that I recently acquired the MRR for. It covers things like how to post your ads to be able to sell affiliate products, get leads, drive traffic to your site for Adsense, that kind of thing. It doesn't promote black hat tactics, just tells you how to do these things and not get flagged. I'm a long-time CL user, and I think it's really good for whatever that's worth.

I'm going to be selling it for just $7. If anyone is interested I could throw up a sales page sooner rather than later and direct you to it, just let me know.

LOL, I think I've just learned my first real lesson in internet marketing, thanks to you, Jim. "Make hay while the sun shines", or "The early bird gets the worm", -insert pithy truism here-. :D

Okay, give me 15 minutes or so and I'll be back with a link, okay??
