The title pretty much says it, but is there a difference in
building a sitemap for google and one for yahoo ?

Should there be a difference ?

Sitemaps are not a novelty. They have always been part of best Web design practices but with the adoption of sitemaps by search engines, now they become even more important.

However, what I heard is to build two sitemaps, one is for humans, the other is for spiders. I can not see the difference between Google and yahoo as far as this sitemap thing concerned!

I believe each SE has own recomendations for the sitemaps and if you can combine them that would be the plus for you only

I know the search engines recommend Sitemaps, but
Serverpoint says each has their own special ways.

Serverpoint, do you have a link for that ?

Thanks for the input. I have thought a sitemap
is a sitemap is a sitemap, but it was just
an assumption out of ignorance. I would like
    to know the truth. :)
