    Hello everyone,

with a website with +10k pageviews per day , im looking for advice on a good CPM advertiser. now, i know that the biggest are casalmedia, fastclick and tribalfusion , but in your own experience, how much do they pay on average? the websites dont mention it at all. and which one of these networks (or others) are "better" ? (i.e pay more/are reliable)

    thanks in advance

this must have been asked thousand times here. you have to test yourself, depending on how your sites do, the epcm and fill rate will vary.

still some questions remain, some CPM advertisers are more reliable than others, some give a bad support, some dont pay, some have very restricting TOS, some are very restrictive in the type of sites they accept

The sites that tend to be more restrictive are the ones that normally tend to pay more. The reasons for this is because advertisers prefer to be with an ad company that takes care of their advertisers by making their ads not show on just any site that applies the their network.

I have given you a PM anyway which actually took a while to write and will probably take a while for you to read. lol

Thank you for the PM, very helpfull indeed.

Do you know if those networks accept non-english sites, for an outside-USA crowd?

I read the terms of Casale and they allow only English and Spanish written sites. That's all I saw anyway while reading their Terms. I didn't check VCM. It may be best if you check their TOS or publisher requirements for approval.

If you're looking for a good CPM network I'd suggest Adtegrity.

Or, if you're looking for a rather unique type of CPM network that pays for every link, and every post, check us out :) Link in my sig.

Back to neonKnight's original question. What is the average, or range of payout for CPM type ads? Is the range too wide to give a budgetary?

on valueclickmedia it changes a lot... it will be 0.18 one day and 0.38 the next day... the highest ive seen is 0.45, and that didnt last long... i'd say that usually it hovers around 0.20-0.25 for me

Well, while we only offer top frame ads, these are our rates:

    US Traffic: $0.20 - $0.25
    UK / Canada: $0.10 - 0.15
Rest of world varies from $0.01 (China etc) to Germany ($0.10).

Are the rates listed per click or per 1000 impressions?

It seems that you have a 2nd or 3rd tier network there CashinX. About 3 months ago my earnings from VCM hit an all time low of around $0.23 - $0.35 for all demographics of traffic. It is now recovered back to it's usual self at around $0.47 - $0.55 cpm for banner ads for me. Double of what you offer.

I guess it means how much the network pays out to it's publishers and how much of the market share it has.

    For example:

Google, YPN and MSN Adcenter is a 1st tier of they are the main players for pay per click really, although there are others that are also 1st tier, but this is an example. They also pay more.

Then 2nd tier may be clicksor, bidvertiser, etc.

3rd tier may then be you if you have just started up with this site.

This is just an example and all I know you could have been around for ages.

    John:

All adverts we serve are currently from Adtegrity. We're at nearly no - profit for the adtegrity ads. Luckily I knew the owner of adtegrity and he was glad to give us a shot.
They're put in place right now to get us going at first.

We're working dedicated on our Advertisers area which will give advertisers the ability to target ads directly as well as decide how much the traffic is worth to them.

I'm happy for you! $0.55 CPM for all traffic is great. CashinX wont be able to buy that, because (again) we're only displaying our ads on outgoing links, whereas now with those links you aren't making any money.

Your analysis of tiers is accurate.. And we're working our way up. As you'll have noticed we're still in beta :).
